The Minnesota Vikings released Blair Walsh on Tuesday, two days after the struggling kicker’s latest miss.

Walsh has missed four field goals and four extra points this season, including a missed PAT in Sunday’s 26-20 loss to the Washington Redskins.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer acknowledged Monday that the Vikings would evaluate their kicking situation for the second time in as many weeks.

Minnesota tried out six kickers last week but opted to stick with Walsh, who had missed another PAT and had a field goal attempt blocked in the Vikings’ overtime loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 9.
