This 289-800-0137 fraudulent survey scam is some kind of affiliated company that is trying to go around the laws by offering people surveys so that they can add people to their list of callers. The worst part to this scam is the fact that they’re going to resell your information to other organizations that they’re affiliated with. The end goal is for them to find out that there’s an active person on your phone line so that they can sell your phone number and any related information you provide to them to their affiliated companies so even in the event that you cancel them or even if their corporation or business entity goes under they will be able to sell your information that will claim is “opted in” to other telemarketers. Furthermore their other way to make money is to sell you their immediate OVERPRICED  promotional offers that they’ll offer to you as a free gift and up-sell on the other items.

If they have to steal your phone number in order to call you chances are they’re a scam and the reality is that this is how most people get involved in identity theft it starts with companies like this and what happens in most instances is they’ll go out of business and in the process of them going under peoples private information inevitably could fall into the wrong hands which in turn gives fraudsters in some instances full access to people private and personal information.
