Knubian basketballs are not really expensive; they’re quality basketballs from a quality company that has a relatively good reputation. Knubian Inc. clearly wants to be considered a unique luxury sports company in the next 15-20 years. Their entire presentation appears to be focused on the long-term outlook.
What separates Knubian Inc. in general is what they offer on the backend. I believe their full launch date will be around 2027-2028, but they’re still in their early financing phase to launch their premier apparel, sports equipment, and general luxury-based opportunities.
Early adopters will be in the know when this happens. Maybe when you’re reading this, it’s their launch day, but I’m writing this around June 2024, mostly for our own internal records here; they left an impression on us.
Currently, they have their Knubian.net website, which is basically free to sign up for and exists only to send out promotional event emails. They don’t even ask you for money on their Knubian.net site.
Then there’s their e-commerce website, which, based on the presentation we saw, will be changed in the next couple of years. Existing Knubian customers either received or will receive a certificate if they purchase a basketball before the full launch date; there wasn’t much emphasis on this when we saw their presentation; all they said is when you join before launch, you’ll get offers that late adopters won’t get the chance to see.
Although I’m not sure, I think they’re gathering investors as well as crowd funding, I’ve seen other companies do this, and that’s what this looks like to me. I liked their early presentation of what they’re planning to do, it’s a bold vision, and when you see their presentation the price you pay for the basketball is miniscule, because the benefits far outweigh the costs.
They’re trying to build something exclusive, but obviously, they’re not going to tell us the full details until they launch. If their idea works, it will be revolutionary because I’ve never seen anything like what they’re proposing, and their vision makes a lot of sense; if they don’t do it, someone else will; that’s what I came away thinking.
To be honest, if this post is vague, it’s because I don’t know what to make of it. Obviously, we help Knubian with their mini-advertising campaigns, but aggressive marketing doesn’t appear to be their focus at the moment. I told them their concept sounds good and left it at that.
In a nutshell, when you purchase their basketballs, you’re being offered the opportunity to join an exclusive club, and from what I understand, that price is priced to sell, the price for their basketballs may actually go up after launch day because basketballs is just the start, and when they launch most people are going to wish they bought the basketballs at the price they see in 2024.
