Netflix: El Chapo Season 2 Episode 1(E1) – King Sneakers (Nike, Adidas)

If you’re unaware Joaquín Guzmán, a.k.a. El Chapo is actually a sneakerhead, he loves Nike and Adidas sneakers, so when you see “King” sneaker shoe boxes starting in the Netflix El Chapo series starting around Season 2, Episode 1, the “King” sneakers are supposed to be Nike or Adidas sneakers.

Obviously, to keep the show’s budget low, they don’t bother to solicit Adidas and Nike to get the okay.

They had to show El Chapo’s opulence while sitting in jail, so that scene is indeed very important to setting the mood for that episode. But yea keeping things short and simple, the King Sneakers are basically Nike or Adidas sneakers.
