What Elon did by buying X/Twitter is keep alive the concept of free speech. The cost of freedom of speech is the 2.5% lunatic fringe. The moment you try to shut it down, you’re moving away from the concept of freedom of speech. Many ideas get tested and many get thrown out. It’s the essence of democracy. When you try to change that, the system corrects itself.
