If you have a history of arrests, indictments, and convictions, you can be certain that a record of that history is stored in some government database. In the great state of Texas, the main agency that handles such reports and documents is the Crime Records Service or CRS for short. Administered by the Texas Department of Public Safety, this is where all Texas arrest records and other criminal reports are housed and maintained. Together with the agency’s Computerized History System (CCH), they both play the role of central depository for all public criminal histories in Texas.
